Law Firm Upton & Hatfield Pledges $1,000
in Matching Funds to Five Rivers Conservation Trust

CONCORD, NH - June 1, 2010 - Law firm Upton & Hatfield, LLP, announced it recently pledged $1,000 to Five Rivers Conservation Trust, a non-profit land trust serving communities throughout the Capital region, to serve as matching funds for the trust’s Annual Fund Appeal to members.

Five Rivers aims to protect open space land in towns within five New Hampshire river watersheds, including Boscawen, Bow, Canterbury, Chichester, Concord, Dunbarton, Henniker, Hopkinton, Loudon, Northfield, Pembroke, Salisbury, Warner and Webster.

“Preserving New Hampshire’s natural resources is an important task, and we commend Five Rivers for its dedication to protecting land in Concord and the surrounding towns,” said James Raymond, Managing Partner at Upton & Hatfield. “We’re pleased to help Five Rivers further its mission of conservation with this donation.”

Member-donated funds allow the trust to protect undeveloped lands along rivers and watersheds; preserve farm and forest lands, wetlands, scenic areas, wildlife habitats and all fresh bodies of water; provide recreational opportunities by maintaining clean water supplies and limiting sprawl; and establish a network of greenways throughout the region linking conservation and natural resource areas.
