Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration

Asset and estate planning includes managing and protecting assets during the client’s life and arranging for passing assets to later generations through the client’s estate. That planning requires knowledge of estate and income tax consequences of holding and transferring assets, familiarity with the probate process, and use of trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and medical directives. More importantly, it also requires an understanding of the client’s individual situation, needs, and wishes, including the client’s family and business. We pride ourselves on our personal relationships with our clients and their families, often extending across several generations.

Our lawyers have extensive experience with asset and business succession planning, trust creation and administration, and estate tax returns, as well as drafting traditional wills and probate of estates. We also perform investment oversight of the portfolios of many clients. Our emphasis on knowing our clients lets us use that experience and those skills to help them meet their asset and estate planning goals.
